removal "Squab' seat

I have a slight problem, My front seat was warn out, and I found a replacement seat. Unfortunatly the power seating plugs where different, so I cannot switch the seats, Now I want to take of the squabs, only the headrest is power lifted. Does anyone know how to correctly remove the headrest so I can change te squab?

Just registered, right now, to tell I might have a solution coming up, I'm in the middle of upgrading a non-electric interior xj40 into electric semi-leather, and I'm afraid there's going to be some soldering involved because of similar problems as yours..

So, on which end do you have the big purple one? I've got the big purple loom ends on the seat motor loom and I'm confident that by christmas I'll be able to tell what to solder where to make an adaptor. Also, if anyone has schematics on the different kinds of plugs ready, I'd appriciate it.

It’s best to fit model year correct/compatible parts whenever working on XJ40.
The early and late seats are very different.
