Boot light not working

Hello Folks,
Cant get the boot light to work. Have recently repaired the wiring into the boot as the boot push button release would'nt work. During the repair work i noticed the boot light flash a couple of times but now there's no power to it. Thought i mite have blown the fuse but there does'nt seem to be a separate fuse? Also i cant find the switch and wondered if it is incorporated into the boot release as it is on the XJS?
Would be grateful for any illumination. Rgds..Charlie.

IiRC, there's a common problem on the saloons where the wiring loom passes to the boot cavity. Many of the wires get compressed and chafe. It's worth trying to find that area and see if there is any damage which is causing the light problem.
