CD autochanger

Postby bwood727681 » Mon Apr 17, 2023 3:50 pm

My OE radio was unrepairable so I have changed it to a new aftermarket Blaupunkt. Unfortunately I loaded some CD's in the autochanger but without the old radio I cannot power it up to remove them. I have removed it from the boot. Any ideas?

With the autochanger on the bench, it should be possible to setup and use a 12V supply to power the autochanger, then it is simply a case of working out which of the remaining wires you ground to get the "eject" to operate.

Thanks for quick reply. I am a bit confused - which is the positive [+] pin the plug on the unit is it male & number 6? So that would be on the right of the locating nib and the earth is in the centre?

That did not end well. Tried a couple of pins on the plug with 12v then smoke came out of the machine. Managed to wreck it and recover 5 CD's one was broken. So another part for the recycling centre.
