Indicator ticking sound

Hi Folks
I have just bought a lovely 1989 XJ40 Sovereign
The indicators make no sound at all inside the car.
I have read that there should be a small speaker below the steering column, but have just investigated and there is nothing to see.
Can anyone tell me where the speaker/sounder is?
I have listened to other XJ40s and the ticking is quite clear inside the car

I finally found the speaker and it works perfectly, so the problem lies elsewhere.

I assume there is some kind of sound generator circuit
Does anyone know where it is?
