Hi, My radio is turning on less and less! Sometimes, (rarely) it decides to turn on. The security light still flashes. It just turns on when it likes? Any suggestions please? Thanks

If you mean by "turn on" it won't light up at all then there's something fundemental going on within it or the supply to it. And that could mean removal after checking that the fuse in the fuse panel's clean and a snug fit.

If you mean it does light up then it might be code / memory corruption in the set. Do you have the code? If so then try disconnecting the car's battery, tying the connectors together with a cable tie for 15 mins or so. Then disconnect them and re-connect to battery. You should then be asked for the code. If so try entering and see? Your radio's pre-stations settings will be lost.

Thankyou for your reply.
I mean it turns on (If I leave the knob turned to on) randomly, ie. if I go for a drive, all of a sudden it comes on, but it's getting less and less, there is power going to it, the security light on it flashes. I have checked fuses they are ok, must be something (dry joint maybe?) In the radio?

Do the battery disconnect thing if you have the security code.
Can't hurt, may help
