Hi, my drivers seat sometimes moves back when I turn off the engine and sometimes it doesn't. When I get in and start up it doesn't move back. I've tried re-memorising the positions but it doesn't usually work and have to do it myself.
Anybody know if the problem is the seat module or the memory switch in the door?? All the motors work using the seat buttons and the headrest, seat back and base all move as they should, it's just the memory.
Cheers
Kevin

Re: Memory seat problem
you don't say what car you have??, but this is usually a case of failed/failing potentiometers in the seat, I had a similar issue with a 1997 X300 recently, the seat worked perfectly except the memory function, we swapped out the module and switch pack, reprogrammed the key fobs and car to no avail, so a used seat was sourced and stripped to use the used motors and potentiometers, not easy, time consuming, but job done
