Hi Kim,
I had to rebuilt my Golde sunroof of my MK 2 after its crash to the road. I found a classic car garage in Germany taking care and replacing the bowden cables by new spare parts from a classic VW Bus that had to be shortened by a specialist in Switzerland. The mounts were rebuilt by 3D printing. The metal sheet was fixed by a coachbuilder and painted new.
A handle is sometimes offered on local ebay platforms, gear should be difficult to find.

Hi Kim, if you have the original gear - I assume it is damaged in some way - it may be possible to have a local technical college or precision engineering shop make a new one from scratch. Not actually too difficult if one has the correct tools. Handle is a different situation, possibly eBay, as suggested by Jorg, or other internet sources, but also ask the Breakers who advertise in the magazine. As a last resort, consider if another Mk2 owner with the same sunroof and therefore handle, could offer it as a pattern for either 3D printing or as a casting.

Kim,
maybe of interest for you. It‘s a Golde gear for VW Bully and Beetle.
