how the hell do you get your hand up behind dash to get to the knurled nuts on the back of the speedo.

Just done this job on my 1961 Mk2 3.4. Having removed the metal panel underneath the dash/steering wheel to improve access it is still a tight fit for my hands but just manageable. Did one nut from each side of there steering column. My wrists looked as though I had been self abusing by the end and were quite sore! Alternatively find someone with smaller hands. Good luck. Tim

hi tim dont know if mk2 the same but on my S type i removed the top of the dash and it gives you plenty of room to get behind to gauges. didnt even have to take speedo out.
