Not enough headroom!!

My V12 coupe has a sunroof that robs a bit of headroom. I'm over 6 foot tall so I end up having to rake the seat right back and even then hold my head to the left so it sticks up into the sunroof aperture. Not comfortable!!
Does anyone know how to lower the seat?
I have seen modifications that extend the backward movement of the seat but that's not quite what I'm after.
Any ideas?
Regards
David

Interesting
As i have no issues at all with this in my own 89 coupe with factory sunroof ?

I take it you have 'recaro' seats as well ?

We shall have to shoehorn you into mine next time we meet

Interesting....

If the seat can go back flush with the rear bench, then that should give you the maximum headroom. I'm presuming that the drivers seat is not mounted on additional spacers? I found mine to have additional non-standard washers that were raising the the height of the seat! Once removed, it was more manageable. Guess that the sunroof is taking a good few inches? I'm 6ft 2 and can now sit comfortably in my XJS (no sunroof though - as you know)...

Cheers, Rich

Didn't they have the same problem with the early E Types? The answer is to lower the floor.
I have a similar issue but that is due to the headlining hanging in festoons around my ears.
6' 3/4" (the wife says that the extra 3/4" makes all the difference!)

Yeah I think so, I'm sure I read the most desirable E-Types are the very early ones with the flat floor.

I'm not particularly tall, (Though I always tell my wife, still taller than Al Pacino...), 5"8 and I know if I've brushed my hair in the morning as it touches my slightly fallen roof lining.

The car is massive, but feels more like laying down and putting on a leather jacket, than climbing into a car.
