Good evening or morning everyone. As someone who has returned to the fold after a few years (still owned perhaps far too many Jaguars though during my time away from the club) I am seeking some help and information please.
I have just purchased a 1996 Jaguar XJS Coupe Celebration 4.0 Auto in Ice Blue with Regatta Blue trim, this is where I need your knowledge please on a few issues. Can anyone confirm that the centre console lid on the X300 is the same as the XJS model I have please? Does anyone know of a carpet that is the same shade of Blue as the Regatta Blue please? If I can find the carpet in a roll (carpet supplier) I may be able to talk my trimmer into making me a new set for the car.
As I am sure is usual with a car of this age, I am now kept fully occupied correcting various issues that arise over time, one of which is to replacing the headliner with a new unit but first to insulate the naked steel panel and inject some Dinitrol into areas that may wish to be devoured by the dreaded rust. We are Dinitrol agents and have been for over 27 years, so I do have confidence in it, Jaguar even offered to increase the corrosion warranty on my XF and XJ when I purchased them and treated them, so they are confident with it as well.
So if any of you out there are able to offer any information and or help in anyway, it would be VERY welcome and thank you in advance. Final point, I have found a company that can supply rear mudflaps for these models, as normal since BREXIT trying to purchase parts from outside the UK is a challenge, but we have a customer who lives in Berlin who is willing to act as our drop zone and then forward them, so if you have an interest, please let me know and I will see if I can help.
Kindest regards,
Simon (Kent Area)

Re: REGATTA BLUE TRIM
Hi Simon and welcome to the XJS Forum. We'd love to hear more about your new car - a few photos and your first impressions perhaps?
For the carpet material you could perhaps try the trimmers who advertise in the magazine.
For example, Adridge (www.aldridge.co.uk) did a carpet set for my 1996 car in coffee that matched exactly. You could also try BAS (www.bas-international.com).
If you could send me more detail on the mudflaps its perhaps something we could put in the magazine which would bring it to the attention of more members?
