Hi everyone,
I dare say this question has arisen before, but I couldn't find it - sorry if I'm being dumb.
I've a lovely 1995 XJS Celebration coupe and would like to replace her floor mats - not the carpets, just the mats that sit on them. I've seen a few posts here relating to Hamiltons car mats, but after a brief look at their website, their products didn't strike me as particularly amazing value (c. £120 for four mats of uncertain material and thickness), in comparison to good-quality mats I've ordered from other suppliers for other cars. For example, approx 4 years ago I bought what I considered to be a high-quality set of four colour-coordinated mats for an Alfa 164 Cloverleaf for approx £70.
If for some reason Forum members regard Hamiltons as the go-to supplier of new mats, then I'd be delighted to buy from them - just wondered what others think and whether/ when/ where it's worth paying a premium! Many thanks all,
David

Re: Best supplier of new floor mats?
Hi David - a few years ago I had a carpet set, including the mats, made up for me by Aldridge Trimming. They asked me to send the old ones so they could reuse the fittings and heel mat.
I was very pleased with the quality of what they did for me.

Re: Best supplier of new floor mats?
Which type of carpet are you after? Wilton is £60 a metre, hessian back and leather or vinyl edging? If vinyl you need to buy a length long enough for the circumference of the biggest mat. Coloured thread to match the binding for the heel mat? New heel mat? Non logo stuff isnt cheap hence re-use the logo original. Best part of £100 for materials before any labour to actually put the materials together.

Thanks so much and apologies for the very tardy reply - I didn't receive a notification that anyone had responded, so have just checked and seen your response now! That's very helpful and much appreciated, I'll have a think about how best to proceed.
Cheers,
David

Many thanks for your reply! Your work there looks excellent. I haven't quite decided what I'd like but will have a think and drop you a message if I'd like to get a quote etc.
Cheers,
