Cleaning seat belts?

Hi all,
Any advice on this one would be much appreciated.

My 4L Coupe has the light/cream/biscuit seat belts which are now looking pretty grubby, in fact, verging on embarrassing!.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what products/processes would be best to tackle these?.

PS Meant to include that having spoken some time ago to someone "who knows" of these things, he frightened the life out of me with all sorts of horror stories about what could go wrong......hence the plea!

I have one of those "as seen on TV" steam cleaners, and that has improved the appearance of my belts.

I must confess though now to having taken the cowards way out!. TUF is off into the care of "The Furniture Clinic" (as per the advertisement in the club magazine) on 27/11. For a VERY reasonable price they are going to rebuild my drivers seat bolster and armrest, retreat the rest of the seats, clean up the door cards and clean the belts for me.

I am looking forward very much to seeing the finished results!.
