Hi Vince,

I'm not aware of anything at the mo... Others may have more detailed info. Would have thought that you would have been too busy running in your rebuilt gearbox on the hill circuit to have time for a static display ;)

See you there.

Hi BB,
No there are no plans for any static displays or model parking. We are leaving the emphasis on the hill climb and views as a relaxed picnic kind of day.

That and we are still short on help and marshals to cover the basics at the moment. Anyone wishing to help for a few hours of the day, please contact Graham on:

Anyone else planning to attend and optionally run up the hill in your Jag?

I shall be there. I've (perhaps foolishly!) booked a run up the hill. I'm not sure if I'll be brave enough to give it 100% though - I do have to get home somehow! :D

yep, I'm there, two runs booked with the option of more, I was planning on my manual 300R being the car, but it's misbehaving badly, so second choice was my Paramount XJR 350, but that is now 200 miles away at XJK in Newcastle under Lyme where Gav and Ian are working their magic on it, soooooooo, howzabout me bringing the Maser as a good sustitute???

You bend it, then you can bring it to me and I`ll mend it!

I`m good with a bucket of filler and a couple of rattle cans.

Frankly, I`ll be too embarrassed to turn up in a Maser.

I thought Thoresby was Nottinghamshire? :) We'll be there for the National ;)

Tony tried organising an event to the Lakes a while back - but there was a distinct lack of interest. Seems that only Midlands-centric events get attended by XJS cars and their owners :)

Fabulous day today! Perfect weather, beautiful venue, good buffet lunch, catching up with friends but best of all, Jaguars going up the hill at full chat!!
Just shows the benefit of keeping it simple and putting cars at the heart of things - no need for jousting, clowns or other sideshows when you have Jags on the move!
Great to see and hear so many lovely cars going up the hill - so much better than static displays of cars just stood there looking over-polished.
Did anyone see if there was an official photographer?
Anyway, good to see you all and your cars today
Regards
David

Great to see and catch-up with folks at this fantastic event. I've done a dodgy edit on my first run up the hill below. If you have any footage or pics from the event, please post!

Great to meet up with Rich and BB, the 'unofficial Southern Day' was really good.

A few XJS photos, I can't remember the story of the green Feb 2006 registered V12, on a 55 plate, where was it hiding all those years?

Oh, thanks Pop for the nice piccy of mine! Shame I look like a grey-haired old fart at the wheel; I'm actually a tanned adonis with raven black hair ;-)

LOL!

Still, from the runs I saw it looked like you were driving it like you stole it! Good man.
