DOH :!:
Isn't it amazing what you find in the boot of your car that you had totally forgotten was there........I found Dad's wheelchair in Libby's boot last week...........OOPS

Thanks DH for putting together a great day.

To see the whole collection was something else a real privelage not many people have seen as much as we have today.I genuinely only expected to see the main museum.

Tony was fantastic and made the day with his genuine enthusiasim and sentiments that I am sure most of us share both good and bad. Thanks Tony.

Me and eldest would like to pass on our thanks to DH and all who turned up and helped to make it a great day.

Regards Mark

ps

If like me you do basic maintenance yourself we can help the trust by buying our service parts from them. The parts are delivered free to your local main dealer. If we dont support the trust who will ?

What a superb day, special thanks to DH for pulling it all together and to Tony O Keeffe and his team for their unexpected but so welcome, friendly and knowledgeable guided tour. Like many, I was expecting a couple of dozen museum exhibits with barriers around them, how wrong could I be!

It was a real pleasure to meet everyone and to put names to faces, I really feel this forum has now become something rather more special then most and that the future looks really exiting as an extension to the JEC.

DH - Well done! Worth all the planning and comments on the BB. Great to meet the usual faces but also plenty of new ones. I really hope the museum/ trust gets to live on in the future, so much Jaguar heritage. Ended up with over 120 pics of cars by the end of the tour. Will load some to the gallery but if anyone who didn't have a camera wants me to email some of the better ones, let me know!
Looking forward to the next 'day out'.

Many thanks!

Dear All

Many thanks for all your comments - it was a good day out wasn't it? All in all "a result"! :D

I have posted my few photos here, too busy gawping and not concentrating on the photography!.......

http://aolpictures.aol.co.uk/ap/myAlbum ... 07255078.1

I am afraid they're at the bottom after the two hundred or so  I took at Cadwell Park last year :? (the technology of creating a new public gallery defeated me).
BTW There again due to the vaguaries of AOL they might be at the top............

pjts - I don't think you'll be able to download from here- let me know and I'll e-mail those that you may want for an article for the mag. - I will be working on the text to send to you soon.......... 8)

Best Wishes

dh,

I'll give you a ring later, but any chance you could load the pics into the Forum Gallery? I think AOL will require people to open an account in order to view the pics.

Doesn't the link work? It's a public gallery and I know people viewed the Cadwell Park pics........

"load the pics into the forum gallery"..........

Can I use an 11/32" Snap-On spanner?

DH Dove

PS I think there may be a problem with the size of the images (6.1Mp each) and to be honest I have no idea how to downsize them.......I have read the Forum post on this subject several times and I am afraid it still goes over my head - sorry to be a numpty :?

Dear All

POSTSCRIPT

Just a note to let you all know that I have (rather belatedly, I'm ashamed to admit) e-mailed Tony O Keeffe and his colleagues at the JDHT Museum expressing our thanks for their superb hospitality and enclosed a selection of comments from you all to say what a special day it was for us.

I guess that's it..............

.............till the next time :D

Dear All

POSTPOSTSCRIPT

My apologies, that's not quite it.
I have received this reply to my e-mail today......

"Thank you both for all your kind words. It was a pleasure to welcome your group and you had a great turn out for so early in the year.

Please pass on my thanks to everyone concerned and let them know the kettle is always on if they are passing?

Kind regards

Tony O'Keeffe"

That IS now it :D
