Please bear in mind that this weekend the Cotswold Airport Revival is being held so you may well get charged £16 to get in. This isn't going to put us off but be prepared if you do come!

Evening All - I've just been told by one of our regular attendees that the roof of the AV8 Cafe has failed and that they are closed. However, looking at their Facebook page, it appears that they have their mobile wagon going serving bacon butties, hot drinks etc and a marquee to get under cover. It might not be what we're used to but we'll make do!

AV8 was indeed closed. We waited in vain for their butty wagon to open but finally gave up and decamped to the Dobbbies garden centre on the outskirts of Cirencester.

We'll review the situation before next month's meeting and let you know via these pages

AV8 is still closed until further notice and in view of the weather and time of year we've decided not to meet this month.
We'll keep the situation under review and continue to update on here.

The bad news is that AV8 is still closed.
The good news is that we've found an alternative venue not far away. The Trouble House is just up the road on the A453 towards Tetbury and only a couple of miles away. They open for breakfast at 9am.
So the next meeting will be on Saturday 30th March at The Trouble House, London Road, Tetbury, Glos, GL8 8SG. I suggest arriving between 9 and 10am and leave when you like!

Three of us turned out this morning. BrakeBuster in his XJ40, Iain1980 in his X350 and myself in the XJS.
The Trouble House was very welcoming and their breakfast was delicious. Plenty of room in the car park too.
I dropped into Kemble on the way through to check on progress with the rebuilding of AV8. They appear to have the roof back on but were busy trying to dry the place out by pumping hot air through it. I guess it got rather wet when the roof failed! They do have a butty wagon in the car park serving some hot food and drinks. Asking there they don't have a clear date for reopening but are hoping for the end of June. We'll keep in touch and hope we can resume meeting at Kemble AV8 in the summer.
In the meantime, The Trouble House served us well and we propose to meet there again on Saturday 27th April.
