Re: lets have our own BREAKFAST meet ??
the next meeting is May 30th
this will be a full year of monthly breakfast meetings, and I hope everyone who attends feels they are worth the effort as much as I do
lets keep the ball rolling and enjoy driving our cars out on ( hopefully sunny ) Saturday mornings for a good English breakfast and a natter
see you there

Re: lets have our own BREAKFAST meet ??
Thanks for everyone who turned out today ,good to see so many there , about nine or ten i think , including passengers,
Rod, sorry we were all leaving when we spotted you , i can pop round tomorrow if you want to send me a message, we can talk about your 8 then if you want
a suggestion was raised today with regard to doing something slightly different for a future breakfast meeting
the proposal was that we meet up , have breakfast possibly , and then go for a drive around the wonderfull cotswolds, possibly ending up somewhere like Stow on the wold, where there is a vintage car museum , just one suggestion , and all ideas welcome
i won't be able to make next months saturday meeting as I'm booked into hospital , but i will be around for the next one ( i hope lol )
till next time

Re: lets have our own BREAKFAST meet ??
BB,
My fault for turning up late and not being forward enough and making myself known sooner. Thats me i'm afraid, a bit reserved. (I had a bit of a tour of the airfield by going in the wrong entrance and ending up on the opposite side of the runway, so had to go all the way back round again).
I wasn't too sure who was who when i first got there as place was quite busy. You need a flag lol. Anyway i still had an enjoyable time just sitting and watching the comings and goings of the various aircraft. Well done for a good choice of venue.
Anyway it was good to eventually get to meet you all even though it was very brief. Stunning cars too.

Re: lets have our own BREAKFAST meet ??
Rod - really sorry we didn't realise you were there until we were leaving. Second Time this has happened. Very embarrassed to have been so rude again!
Please can I ask that if people new to the meet are intending to join us please give us a heads up on this thread and then we know to look out for you! We hate it when we realise that we've missed you. Your X308 looked very tidy by the way.
As BB says, we had the idea of perhaps tacking a run onto one of our future meetings. May be the museum at Stow on the Wold? Open to other ideas. Anyone got any thoughts? Anyone interested in doing this? Maybe the August meet to give us a bit of time to get something organised?
Suggestions please!
PS good to see you all today

Re: lets have our own BREAKFAST meet ??
I think that meeting-up for brekkie and then driving out to the Cotswold Car and Toy museum is an excellent idea. I have a vested interest as;
- its a trip that I've wanted to make for some time since my last visit
- combining the breakfast meet with a visit to Bourton in the water (that also has a whole host of other activities in addition to the car and toy museum) means that I'm more likey to be able to attend with family in tow
Think I'm away first week of Aug, so need to check my availability.
Cheers, Rich

Re: lets have our own BREAKFAST meet ??
No probs BB.
Having visited a couple of times be aware that parking in BotW is limited and avoid Bank Holiday weekends etc like the plague.
At one time car clubs could arrange to park outside the Museum if organised in advance, don't know if this is still the case.
