Thanks Vince. Glad you are coming along.

I have booked-up at Premiere Inn (Rhuddlan) which is nearby (ish) for Western Day as Warners and families (no under 21's allowed) don't really mix :/

Some people are never satisfied. For the record Western Day was announced last year, as part of the Warners Weekend, but to expect us to know the full details of the program, entertainment, traders, features, etc nearly a year in advance is just plain living in la-la land.

We rely on volunteers as others have said, but we don;t have enough, reference my presentation to the Regional Reps meeting post the AGM last year. How many volunteers stepped forward to offer assistance in improving things? Nil. Not one.

So we have to manage with a committee of 6, many of whom have full-time jobs, and families, who take priority, and then there are some very good people in the regions locally who are also committed to make it all come together. So stop throwing rocks people and come and join the Events committee and see how its done, and then see all the issues we have to deal with and show us how you could improve things...

With respect to the XJS Timeline we have only just had confirmation that our "volunteer" (Flamenco), has the time and is willing to organise the Timeline and all that goes with it. So let's all get behind her and give some encouragement instead of criticising all the time.

Ever wonder why it is so hard to get volunteers - well start following a few of the threads on here and you might realise its because you can never win. I've said it before on here, you're damned if you do, and damned if you don't - or maybe you're just damned.

Future of events is in your hands as a membership..as a team we try to listen to what you want and deliver as best we can within the constraints and resources we have placed upon us....

I'm about ranted out now...

To all XJS owning members,
Now that time is rolling on the shape of the special meetings is taking shape.
The three National type days are to be:-
The 17th of May 2015 at Ickworth House in Suffolk to be called "Eastern Day"
The 28th of August 2015 at Brooklands Race Track
The 27th of September 2015 at Bodelwyddan,Castle, North Wales called "Western Day"

The 27th of September is the actual anniversary day and we are trying to organise a timeline to be given. Hopefully Norman Dewis and Nigel Thorley are to be asked to do this exercise for us.

It is time now for finding actual vehicles to carry all of this out. So if you are keen on having your vehicle used then get in touch with Letitia Mace at Letitia.mace@jec.org.uk and she will help you apply

Got to agree with Ray's comments above

Something I have been saying for years, get involved if you want change

on another note and a quick point here, NONE of the JEC Directors are paid for being Directors, some Directors are employee's and are paid for that role, pedantic I know, but needs clarification

I know the events team, which is tiny, work very hard at getting the best to you as soon as is possible, from what I know, they were unable to commit 100% to Bodddlydodah as the whole site was being revamped and Warner's were waiting on a completion date, once this was agreed, it was booked and once this was done the adverts appeared in the next possible magazine.I hope that clears a few things up, and , of course I hope to see you all there with your XJS's
