Hi all

Only a month or so to go and I need to confirm numbers and final details with the Museum.
If you have expressed an interest but cannot attend please post here promptly.
If you haven't expressed an interest but would like to go please post here promptly.
I'll leave it a week and then confirm with the information that I have from posts on this thread.

i'm really pissed about this

i'm afraid i have tickets to the rugby on the same day

this was to be the first run out of the year as well , but i really can't get out of the rugby as i have friends coming from afar ( Belfast and Bath ) that have already got tickets to...


I know the XK boys are going on the sunday , is there any point in asking if we could shift the XJS day to the sunday ?? and meet up with fellow Jag owners, or doesn't the facility allow for this amount of cars and people ?? and would others want to do this ?

just grasping at straws here to be honest, as i can't go on the saturday.....

Still planning to be there but will be solo as my co-pilot has her piano lessons on a Saturday morning!.

Will need to be away for 14:00 ish though as we are off out to a concert that night (Andy Fairweather-Low....remember him?!).

UPDATE

Museum does guided tours for groups of less than fifteen, lasts about an hour, cost £4.00 each person.
I have provisionally booked us in for this.
Hope that meets with your approval?

OK
Our visit is confirmed.
Parking in Millenium Place outside the museum is booked. Do not arrive before 10.00 am. I suggest a 10.30 am arrival for museum visit to start around 11.00.
Guided tour is booked, remember there is an additional charge of £4.00 per person for this. I don't know when it will occur, we'll find out on the day subject to staffing.
Please note, you MUST vacate Millenium Place by 4.30 latest.
Do please check out the museum website and familiarise yourself with how to get to Millenium Place, I don't know Coventry but no doubt one way systems etc are in operation.

I'll be bringing my "new" 2010 SLK 350 Sportpack (see "The Price of Fish") and you're welcome to have a poke around that on the day as a change from your XJS's!

Really looking forward to seeing you all on the day. Do check back here now and again beforehand in case of last minute updates/changes.

Directions attached.

From M6 follow museum signs and it'll bring you in via B4119 Foleshill Road straight onto the island (tall block of flats on your right). You want 2nd left, further instructions below.

From the south, A45 London Road takes you onto the ring road, keep right and go onto to ring-road anti-clockwise to the island, further instructions below

Access to Millennium Square is off the ring road via the only island on it. Exit right (5 o'clock position if travelling clockwise) or 1st left if anti-clockwise via Tower St, left into Silver St, left into Cook Street then right into Chauntry Place, at the end you are there, simples!
