Yep
Really good day, great to see everyone there. Some great cars and good to see Robbie's Series 1 XJ6.

Good trip both there and back but the traffic heading in the opposite direction when heading home was absolutely horrendous- just what is going on !

yup

good to see everyone as usual , and a good sprinkling of jaguars.

also had a good afternoon , NSF new bearings ( including races in hub ) , stub axle, damper lower bush , anti roll bar bushes and lower arm ball joint all in just under three hours on the '40 ...

took her for a test drive and she drove very well, did get a scraping noise once i did a few emergency stops ( ABS works well , and pulls up in a straight line ) i think the OSR handbrake just wants to be wound back a turn or so , heat soak made the shoes scrape a little i think

so , at the last meeting it was mentioned that ' a day out ' could be organised

so here is the mother of all days out ,

http://www.lemansclassic.com/language/e ... july-2018/

July 2018 , I propose a trip down to lemans for the classic race weekend, meetup at the south coast, board a ferry and then drive down to lemans , watch some racing, grab some sleep and then drive back

who is in ??

BB,
What a great idea. Oxford to Portsmouth is about 100 miles. Caen to Le Man is about 125 miles. Needs a bit of very early planning so put my name down. I'll bring my file along with maps and useful information. We used to stay in the grounds of a chateau and stay in Le Mans for about a week then going touring for another month. Those were the days! Brings back some happy memories.
BB have you been before ?
