Window switch

Postby browne.r204 » Sat Feb 01, 2025 2:46 pm

Hi, does anyone know if you can replace the bulb in one of the switches in the drivers window switch pack. Not sure whether I will need to purchase a new switch pack or if it is possible to just change the bulb in one switch or salvage one switch from a second hand switch pack and swap just the one switch over. Any knowledge in this area from someone who has removed, disassembled or fixed a switch in the pack would be most appreciated.

Jaguar doesn't list separate bulbs for these switches so it's highly likely that they are illuminated by small LEDs soldered in place, as they are in many other Jaguar models. If you are willing to spend the time stripping and attempting to rebuild a switch rather than replacing it (cost new £100/£150 dependent upon model year), it would make a useful few words for the X351 column. Hi Mike, yes, suspect you are right regarding the bulb; but hoping it may be possible to strip a second hand switch pack and just swap the one switch over. If anyone knows if this is possible then please let me know.
Either way I will update the forum if I can get this sorted without buying a full new switch pack.
