Window finisher on facelift 1991 coupe

Does anyone know the difference between the following parts? Windscreen rubber part number BEC9535. BEC6599. I was searching for 9535 but can’t get one however managed to grab 6599, hopefully it will work if needed.

Hi. BEC6559 is for the early facelift convertible and BEC9535 is the early facelift coupe. I’m afraid I don’t know what the physical differences are but I’m supposing there must be some for Jaguar to go to the trouble and expense of listing 2 different part numbers

Understood, hopefully it’s the same profile just different sizes. I plan to reuse the one that’s in however if it snaps we might be able to repair it.

Interesting. I asked chatGTP the dimensional differences between the coupe and convertible screens, the below response is interesting. From what I can see the convertible is bigger and that part is a lot easier to find, so should be easy for a screen fitter to cut and join to size. I think this could be a good workaround. Thoughts?

The bodyshell is fundamentally the same as regards windscreen framing etc.

The only difference that may justify differing profiles for the windscreen finisher is that the windscreens have a different thickness on Coupes vs Convertibles. I guess this is possibly to do with the fact that the bonded windscreen is a structural element of the car. The glass thickness may mean that the profile of the finisher fits slightly differently. It would be interesting to hear if you notice that the 2 parts seem visually different when you've got them side by side. Or if you feel that that the Convertible version sits differently on your Coupe.
