Hi

Having driven MKII in the 80's and been heavily involved in the Norfolk Jaguar Club at the time, I felt it was time to get another Jaguar.

Bought a 1996 4.0 Anthracite (Black) in February and still haven't stopped smiling about it.

Hi Neville and a very warm welcome to the XJS Forum BB.

I think the car that you bought is one that I went to look at, but I couldn't put together a deal on my Celebration trade-in.

I was told that the colour was an early XK8 colour and the car was painted as a sort of test-piece. At the time of viewing one of the minor gauges, oil pressure I think, was u/s.

I hope to see the car again at one of the Jag do's to come. Perhaps you'd like to attend our next Forum outing - watch this space.

I got it from Roger Pierson. Near Midhurst

Everything on the car has been fine, the temp gauge does not kick in until the car has warmed up but then indicates correctly.

One or two minor things to sort out , but nothing to be alarmed about.

I'm delighted with the car and was really pleased with the deal.

I got the same details re colour etc. from Roger and Clarkes. When I get round to it I will chase up details.

Hoping to go to Uppark on 26th July, will look out for forum events.

Uppark looks like a nice venue and isn't tooooooo far away, it would make a poss. replacement outing for Southern Day which has been cancelled (see Events thread).

I'll get details from the Sussex Regions and may see you there.
