XJR S Sport 1989

I am new to the forum and to JEC although I have owned a Jaguar XK8 (Jeffery) for 7 years. In January I purchased an XJR-S, so I m not sure I'm on the right forum. As the car came without any history for both me and Cathy (my wife) and for the car we are wanting to find out what happened to the car in the missing years. (See timeline) Some things I have worked out but there is a lot of mystery about where the car was stored and what happened at the MOT's. I am hoping that someone may have some information that will help. If anyone has any information please contact me.

Brief history of car: The car was Completed manufacture on 21 December 1988 and Dispatched from TWR / JaguarSport Ltd 13th January 1989 to Grange Jaguar Croydon. It was first registered on 04 August 1989. The car has had 7 previous keepers in total and has had a very sketchy life so far. I purchased the car on 13th January 2022, hoping that a coat of polish and recommissioning would give us a second classic car. I understand from from a previous owner that the car had spent 14 years in an underground hotel car park. He had bought the car in May 2014 from Martin-Cooke Limited in Liverpool. From 24 October 2007 the car has travelled only 873 miles.

The car is currently at I K Classics in Holmfirth having some mechanical work done.

Hello and welcome to the XJS Forum. That looks a lovely car.
We'll be very interested to hear the history of the car as you find out more. Maybe that could be the basis of a magazine article?
