My insurance renewal is up on my dads XJS and I've been told I need a valuation from an owners club to get my agreed value, can anyone let me know who to speak to about that? Need to get my membership sorted as well!
Anyways, I'm Joe from Derby. Big into my cars and bikes, I've had a shed load of them over the years but settled down a bit now I've hit 30 things have slowed a little bit. Mainly been fast Renaults, BMW M cars and a few Porsches thrown in. Then bike wise I've got a gen1 S1000RR but a deposit on a 2019 model for next year. A few pics of my favourites below:

The M2 is the current steed, but going soon in favour of something a lot cheaper to fund more bike trackdays.
So I guess some people may think I'm a bit young for a lovely old XJS, however unfortunately my Dad died 5 and a half years ago and his pride and joy got passed to me to look after. He bought it brand new back in 1989 after a long string of Jaguars. But this one was one to stay. It's done about 9200 miles, and although not concourse it is a completely original and one owner car.
I do have some thoughts of maybe letting it go to a new home as it does cause me a little grief but it's easier said than done.

I've always been under the impression that the gear knob is a one off special that Paramount Derby made for my Dad and I've never seen another like it, can anyone confirm?
