New XJR-S Owner, Gloucestershire

I did a quick intro when I first joined the Club, but have since bought a car so thought I should do it properly.
I bought a 92 XJR-S a week ago from a well-known Club Member, and have been driving around ever since with a big cheesy grin.
I had a delightful and really useful meeting with Brake buster today, and look forward to meeting more of you as the summer approaches.

BB,
Not to "upload your vehicle details in the register" but "to update your membership record with your vehicle details"!!
Mind you, now that we've got a new Forum Co-Ordinator, I guess it will be David who's using that phrase from now on!
CDG,
Welcome to the Bulletin Board and to XJS ownership! I think I know that car!! Facelift XJR-S is a great car! Well done!

Hello and welcome!
I bet you are pleased with such a lovely car!
It would be great to hear your experiences with it as you get to know each other and we'd love to see you at the Kemble breakfast meeting at the end of the month so we can meet you and have a good look at the car. If you're new to the XJS then you'll find a few of us there who are long term owners and you can pick our brains.
Paul - I'd hate to stand in the way of the great job you're doing in guiding new participants to update their details!

Not sure if it's called Wainlodes; it's outside the Red Lion pub through the village of Norton, off the Tewkesbury road, then down to the river. There's a nice walk along there.

Wainlodes, summer 1982....

I have now bought this car from the OP, and have already been enjoying it enormously. I'm (mostly) based in Cardiff. I'm already thoroughly looking forward to spending some time over the winter fettling the car and getting to know it better.

Welcome, dme123. Do feel free to post some pics of your new car.
Have you got a 'jobs list' ready to tick off?
Enjoy,
David

dme123,
Congrats on the purchase! Just to let you know that we have removed the details from the previous owners' membership record so you can add the car to your online membership record.
Cheers
Paul

Nice to hear from an old owner! Allan seemed very sad to be moving it on so quickly, but I think it will be staying with me for the forseeable future. My current plan is to sort out the various paintwork issues in the spring, but for now I'm just thoroughly enjoying it.
