The XJS back story is, in shortened form ...
Dad worked in road test at Browns Lane. (Grandad was a machinist at Radford, I'm a track rat at Solihull. I guess it runs in the family!)
Took me out in one on when I was 12.
Fell in love.
Finally bought one, 20 years later when I can afford the insurance!
I've been driving Dad's 2004 S-type oil-burner since he passed away late last year (331,000 miles on it. No, that isn't a typo!) but decided the time was nigh to give a good home to an XJS!
She's called Jess (Yes, I name my cars
) and is a 1992 4.0 with just over 100,000 on her. The headlining is starting to sag, and there's a couple of cosmetic rust spots, and I had to re-fit the rubber around the NSF bumper using a teaspoon handle, but she goes like the clappers and is smooth as you like

Ignore the blank plates, it's nothing personal. Been doing it for years with pics of my cars I post online! If anyone would like engine pics, interior pics, or wants to know anything else, just let me know and I shall oblige.
I'll try and get around to adding both cars to the vehicle register at the weekend, too. Anyway, as I am on nights this week, I am going back to sleep
