Yes... being mad... anybody can do.... being "jag mad"... you need buckets of money to throw at a 20 year old car to keep it running, that most sane people would of scraped 10 years earlier !!
But hey.... its only money, you can't take it with you.... So spend, spend, spend....

Hi all, can I enter for the mad competition, please.

I love being mad and I think I have a good chance of coming in the top three! In fact I can feel a dribble coming on now........

I come from Inverness (Scotland dummy). The car is in Kinross near Edinburgh. I send my lots of money to my pal who looks after the car for me. And I drive it one month a year!

Why? Cos I live in Tanzania.

Crazy? Yup, but when I get into it I immediately know why I won't sell it. There ain't nothing like a big cat to keep me purring. I don't care how much it costs.

And when I finally throw the towel in, my son will inherit a magical classic (he is already planning how to get it sooner! at 23!)

The only thing that spoils an otherwise perfect relationship is trying to avoid the Polis speed trapping me! And please don't give me a lecture, I know I am a bad man (and mad) but hey be mad and spend spend speed............

If you live in Tanzania I wouldn't have thought you'd be too bothered about speed traps don't you have a Tanzanian license?

Hi Tony,

You would be surprised, they now have speed guns here too. But I meant Polis in the UK (I guess you knew that!).

I have seriously thought of bringing the car here, but I think not, at the moment anyway.

I have a big 4x4 here and that is the best.

There are somethings I miss and the XJS is one of them. But bringing it here might be even more mad!

Oh and in answer to your query about a licence; yes of course. And I use it in the UK too.
