Hi, my dealer has just notified me to book my car in for a software upgrade on my BDE 2017MY V6s.
I'm told the software is 'H239 passby noise in special programme'? I know the V8 model has a s/w upgrade to reduce the exhaust noise but thought it didn't apply to the V6 models?
Does anyone know please what H239 upgrade is for. If it's for reducing the exhaust noise I think I'll pass on this one!!
Many thanks,

The reason for the software change is, 'Special drive programs are held between ignition cycles and the vehicle does not always default to Standard drive program on start-up.' It applies to several Jaguar models including the F-Type and dealers have been asked to check specific VINs before loading fresh software. In theory, using a car which doesn't comply with the noise test cycle could be illegal. Mike.

Many thanks for reply Mike, hope you're keeping well, so it seems as if this maybe the reduction in exhaust noise / Valves.. ?? Or is it that if the car was left in dynamic mode, then next time on start up the exhaust valves would be open and therefore noisier?? and this upgrade prevents that? Not sure how else it could make the car quieter!

I suspect your latter suggested possibility is quite likely. Mike.
