The car even topped the trending charts on Twitter for a while (I dont ever remember a car doing that).
A few dare compare an uncomparable but generally if they do it goes against the Porsche 911 or Boxster.
I read this paragraph and I have to say, it sums up the F-Type perfectly.
It is that statement "Porsche have been honing their sports car for non-stop 50 years" that is the truest statement I have heard so far. It shows how far the small company of Jaguar has come in a very short space of time under Tata.Certainly, it doesn't have the packaging practicality of that great use-everyday sports car, the Porsche 911. But the 911 has obviously been the target for the way the F-Type goes. The German car and the British steer differently, take bumpy roads differently, sound and look night-and-day different. This is Jaguar's first true sports-car for decades: the people of Stuttgart have been honing theirs non-stop for 50 years. But it's a measure of Jaguar's achievement that unless I'd driven the two back-to-back I wouldn't be sure which I'd like more.
Thank you Top Gear and Jaguar.
James
