Alarm

My alarm keeps going off when locked then when you open it with the remote it still continues,it even then continues even if you start the car or open and close all doors and boot lid,sometimes also goes off when not even locked .Any ideas please?

I don't know if the XF is the same as the X350 XJ, but have you tried the bonnet switch? It's a known problem for random alarms going off on the XJ. Open the bonnet then close it smartly pressing down near both outer edges. Don't just slam it. If that stops it then it either needs a new switch fitted or the wiring bypassed at the switch - sometimes it can be fixed temporarily by some aluminium foil at the switch contacts.

Thanks for the reply I will give it a try,I have an x350 XJ also but the alarm has never been a problem!

Had alarm reset at jaguar specialist now seems ok.
