Heated / Cooled seats

I am need of replacing the heating module on my XF drivers seat. Discovered the other morning driving to football that what I thought was a gentle heat, was actually no heat when my son asked me to turn his off as it was too hot! Lo and behold, the drivers heating module has stopped working.
I hear it is quite a simple task to do, has anyone experience of the replacement?

James, check the connector beneath the seat, mine was loose and easy fix by pushing it back together. Just a thought.

Hi James,
Like Andy suggests,worth a check on the connector,I can't see the element failing so early on.
I'm guessing it's quite a newish car,you haven't put that info in your signature
.

Hi Andy,
I will get a break in the weather at sometime and have a look at the connector first. I know the seats are easy to take apart.
Its a 2008 XF, so not that young, 15 years old now.
