Nearside Rear Door Lock Issue

This may or may not (probably not) be related to a mirror fold / unfold issue. See entry under electrical.
This door will open if the first used either after unlocking or by simply pulling on the handle. It will also physically open if opening latch pulled on the inside. But it won't open from outside if any other door previously opened.
Any simple solutions that don't involve examining the wiring loom !?!
