Good day all
I have, along wlth my XK8 (swoon swoon ) a 3D XF Sportbrake.. I have had it since 2019, about 6k miles per year, serviced every year, by a Landi Specialist, and only used for long journeys, 20 miles plus!
BTW twice now has 60MPG on a long motorway jourmey at 65-70 mph..It must be down hill from Scotland!
I do worry about ..Oh they blow their centre bearing etc. Anyone had that? Maybe the very regular oil changes helps to prevent this?
Main problem for this Thread.......Ok, recently it has popped up with Air Suspension fault..Ho hum..After a restart it goes away,,usually on my return trip! and does not come on again..until next new journey..
The ride is perfect as always..I have been told there is an air pump buried under the spare wheel, that needs new PTFE seals..
Any help would be useful to get this sorted, the ride is perfect as always
Lastly, the best estate car I have ever owned..10 out of 10 to Jaguar!
Any thoughts out there folks please

Re: 102k XF Sport brake 3.0D
The air pump is a prime candidate for this type of problem. However, an air leak from anywhere in the system would produce a similar result. Consequently, don't ignore the possibility and have the system checked properly first before spending money on a guessed diagnosis. Diagnosis using Jaguar or Autologic kit may help you better pinpoint the problem. If it is the pump, they are expensive to buy from Jaguar. There are both repair kits and aftermarket pumps available as alternatives. As ever, using a repair kit carries the greatest risks of having to repeat the work. Mike.

I think I read a query about this job by someone else in one of this year's magazines - it may come with a few unexpected complications.

Thank you for the above suggestions!
On further examination and monitoring I have noticed that the offside rear is sometimes down about half an inch
So I will need to check the air susp unit on that side I suspect ..
However, it is fine for weeks at a time, then complains...
Is it difficult to change?
Answers on a postcard please...
