Hello Folks
Heard a slight knock from near side rear.Had a look and found the bottom bush of the damper flexing when I applied pressure on it with a bar. I looked around at the other joints as you do and the photo shows the state of the Roll bar Link. I replaced the damper and the drop link , bought a pair of dampers and drop links from Brit Parts . Now need to replace the offside when the weather permits.

Re: Roll Bar Links
It's surprising how well Jaguars drive and handle, even when steering and suspension joints are well past their best.

Hello Folks
Well that's it, the ABS system is now in fault and the dash say's it's not available. My reader say's its the font Left wheel speed sensor.
At 100,300 miles the car is now on a rapid downward path even though I've fixed/renewed the rear suspension. The decisions made, both Jags are to go and I am getting another BMW, went out in a X5 today, very impressed.

Re: Roll Bar Links
For the sake of replacing a £16.92, 12 year, 100,000 mile old sensor, you are going to spend how much on a BMW which will almost certainly not survive as long as that sensor?Hello Folks

Hello Folks
Sourcing ABS wheel sensors found two of the correct sort (connectors) on the SNG Barrett site. The First at £20.93 and the second at £153.18p plus VAT and Delivery.. I can get the first at £19.53p plus VAT at Click and Collect at Bridgnorth being a JEC member. Both are on Back Order though , so when I would get them who knows. So which one to get?. The second is of course OE!!! . (Jaguars)!!. Euro parts have the first at more or less the same price but including VAT in stock, and I can pick it up at my local store. BMW X5 to join my BMW Mini is still tempting given my experience with my previous 3l Petrol S Type and my current 2.7d S Type a part aluminium body with all new parts except the engine block courtesy of Ford/PSA. My mate with an X5 though say's hang on, he's had a few annoying problems with his window mechanisms packing up , window glass privacy film de laminating, rear window heater wire breaking.Tyre pressure alarms going off etc. The car is 16 years old and done 77k miles.

Hello Folks
Quick update I missed the 1 off the front of 77k on my previous post. Every time I see my mate his response is:- what's fallen off now.

Hello Folks
Quick quick update:- I reserved the part at Europarts for collection and payment tomorrow. Cost is in fact £109.89p, still cheaper than the OE version. I am going to look at it though to make sure the ends are correct before moving to alternatives. My mates X5 has to go in for a air con repair, sounds expensive, what's so different from Jags!!! so, a reconsideration is in order.
