Lots of questions

Hi everybody or anybody. The XF Forum seems a bit light in numbers but then it's all about quality. I'm trying to post in customising but can't see the ' new ' post option. My XF is in a sorry state. X250 XfS. First job is upgrading the brakes for a reasonable amount of money. Definitely not track day.
If there's anyone out there with any suggestions, I've seen some second hand ATE calipers, are they worth the risk? Then some new discs and pads, any suggestions. I've been looking at Mtech but as always there are a few negative reviews.

It's always going to be costly if you have a garage do the work for you.
It would be good to know what year your car is and a few photo's would be nice,just to see what you have.
I try to do most things myself to keep costs down.

Probably the most cost / performance effective way is second hand XFR callipers all round, coupled with matching new discs and pads. You’ll need to invest in 20” wheels for clearance, if your car doesn’t already have them though.
