Hi all,
The low brake warning light came on, so dutifully I purchased new brake pads took off the front wheels to discover they are fine. Darn...
So rear ones, great happy to do, but I need to put my car into service mode to release the rear brakes ready for the change. Is there a procedure for this that does not involve a diagnostic machine or garage?
I have a 2009 3.0 ltr XF.
Thank you in advance.
P.S. I can see the post regarding resetting the rear brakes, so already helpful.

James,
I`ve done these by having the ignition on, holding down the handbrake switch whilst switching the ignition to off. Its worked for me.

Hi Mike,
That appears to be the solution. Being Keyless I just have to turn the car off after I have pressed the handbrake button down for a few seconds.
Thanks for the reply.
