The front passenger door has just started refusing to unlock via the remote. All the other doors lock and unlock on a fob press (2 stage is disabled). But not the front left. It does unlock with its inner handle and, perplexingly, it also unlocks from the dashboard button as well as with the key, just not from the remote fob.
SDD records a code of B1109-11 as an intermittent fault. The service and repair manual decodes this as 'Passenger door central locking motor short circuit to ground'.
While I pluck up the courage to try and remove the 8 screws and 18 clips holding the door card in place without breaking them and before I give in and contact the stealership, does anyone have an insight into the way that all of the locking mechanisms and three of the unlocking mechanisms could all be functioning and just the one unlocking one have failed? There's a good, solid clunk from the door when the key fob unlock button is pressed but the door remains resolutely locked.

I had a rear door doing the same so replaced the rear door motor operating unit (£56.00 on eBay) and that fixed it
