No sound from indicators or hazard lights

Jaguar XF 3.0 V6 TD 2012 - I have recently purchased this car in exchange for my lovely S Type. A couple of issues which I cannot work out. The indicators work but no sound is heard in the car when they are in use. The same thing for the hazard lights. Also noted when I accidentally left the lights on there was no warning sound when I opened the driver’s door and locked the car! Any suggestions would be welcome. John

There is a separate speaker for these sounds, I think somewhere around the steering column, others will know exactly where I am sure.
