Correct coolant pressure cap

Postby JeromeNorris » Tue Mar 14, 2023 2:31 pm

Does anyone know the correct expansion tank kPa pressure cap for a 2012 XF 2.2d.
There are two, 140 kPa and 200 kPa, both claiming to be the correct one.
What would be the effect of having the wrong one fitted?

According to the Jaguar Classic parts website
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.co ... nd/jaguar/

it's part no C2P17700 which is the 140 kPa variant.

Thank you for that. I will fit that one in the hope it will get rid of a false level warning. A problem which started after my garage checked all fluid levels during a service. Just wonder if they put the wrong cap back. Still confusing having both caps described as correct for the car.
I am grateful for your help. Many thanks
PS. My XJS is identical in colour and year as yours but with the yank double headlights.

Good to know, there don't seem to be many of us left!
