Tuning Box

Has anybody had experience of fitting a diesel tuning box to a 3.0 XF 240PS?
I was using an S-Type 4.2 SE as my daily driver until recently but due to the increasing cost of keeping it on the road I decided to let it go in favour of something newer, and as I have dogs a Sportbrake seemed like a good option.
I am considering fitting a RaceChip box to the vehicle, the manufacturers do quote these units as giving around a 20% increase in power and torque as well as improving fuel economy so if anybody does have any info it would be appreciated.

I have fitted these to my previous Mercedes 320 diesels and they worked very well. Improved mpg and the cars felt more responsive. They let you choose economy vs power as far as I can remember. Not sure you will recover the outlay but I found the cars smoother and better to drive. Not had a diesel one since though.

Thanks for the response, I'll probably be looking to fit one of these early Feb as my current insurance expires end of Jan and my existing insurer won't cover it, LVE will at not much more than the standard premium.
Mainly hoping for improved economy and performance off the line as the diesel can be a bit sluggish until the turbos kick in, not something I was used to with my Stage 1 4.2 S-Type.

Update: A real pig to fit due to the location of the connector on the end on the fuel rail but once connected it seems to work really well.
In Eco mode I am getting an extra 2-3 miles per gallon on shorter journeys and around an extra 5-10 mpg on longer runs, depending on my right foot! Put the box into Race mode via the bluetooth app and the performance difference is astonishing, really flies! And the box can be removed completely in seconds if no longer required.
