Cabin Heater

Postby rosemary » Sun Mar 01, 2015 10:48 am

My Cabin Heater has just failed on full heat, S Type 2.7d MY 05 124,000 miles, to be precise the passenger side is on full heat but the drivers side is controllable but is overwhelmed by the heat coming out of the passenger side. Has the Bye-Pass water control valve. front off-side failed. Coincidently the heater water outlet pipe from the fuel fired heater corroded through in the same area last summer. The rear of the CD player also gets very hot and trips the player, this may be consequential though. Any suggestions

Rosemary

Can't comment on your failure, there are others more competent than me, but you have posted this in the XF Forum, so if it is an S Type you would be better reposting it there and I know Mike and some of the other technically gifted S Type owners will pile in and help

Realised after posting that I had somehow posted on XF Forum in error, reposted on S Type forum straight away.
However same components are fitted to the XF so the pleasure is to come.
