XF Essex Newbie

Given my recent purchase, just thought I would say hello to the XF forum having been on the XJS one for some years now.

Given pressures of growing family (in physical terms anyway with children reaching teens) and need for a greyhound carrier we decided to look for an estate looking at all makes aside of BMWs of course. In the end I couldn't quite stomach an Audi or Volvo and had to have a Jag to compliment the XJS, so opted for a 2013 2.2 Prem Lux in Cashmere with the charcoal interior. The XJS is topaz so once I get it back from an enforced stay at the garage, I'm looking to do a photoshoot :-) Hopefully they won't clash...

First impressions are that the car is just what I wanted - I love the look and love the gadgetry - the acceleration is a little hesitant I find when trying to get out of a junction in a break in traffic. The boot isn't the biggest but it's enough and the greyhound is still getting used to it...she's not so happy!

Have attached a couple of photos, and I'd stress that's frost not a dodgy paint job!

As a last note, I would recommend Guy Salmon at Maidstone where I bought it - really welcoming, helpful and very accommodating.

Hi Richard,
The Sportbrake really is one of the most appealing Jaguars in production. Welcome to the Club and indeed the Forum.

Regards

Thanks James - much appreciated. I have to say I am smitten with it and will struggle to decide if the XJS gets much of a look in once I get it back.
