I had the horrible shock of finding my driver's side headlamp lens was shattered recently.
I have not hit anything and my dashcam did not record anything when parked up.
I do have a feeling that this may have occurred because I washed off the dust and dirt by spraying with a pressure washer and my thoughts are that the sun was on the car from the front. Had my lights heated up to such a high degree inside the lamp that the sudden exposure to cold water has caused the Perspex to shatter?
Would love to know others thoughts on this?
Also, to warn you not to fall into the same trap as the cost for repair from a Jaguar main dealer is.....Wait for it.....
£3k.
As you probably know the lens can't be changed. It has to be a whole new unit. They are £2,800.
Watch out!
Regards,
Alan
