bodywork trim c pillar

I was wondering if anyone had noticed the rear C post Pillar trim discoloured the black on my 2016 XJR has gone really bad and really spoils the look of the car searching on line it appears these trims are held on with 6 clips but as the trim is fairly tight to the bodywork/paintwork even with plastic tools it looks like a challenge to remove the trims for replacement just wondered if anyone had done this task and if so any tips would be gratefully received thank you Gerard
