Door locks

2011 diesel.When I use the fobs to lock the car everything seams to lock,it sounds as though it locked,but pull any Handle and the car opens.thanks Steve.

The car will unlock itself if it senses a door is not shut properly, I had same on my 06 XJR, in fact it repeatedly cycled lock/unlock, much to the amusement of passers by. It was a slightly bent metal rod connecting the lock to the handle within the passenger door. Worth taking off the door cards and checking?

Hi Steve, are you pulling the handle whilst still holding the key fob? The key fob(s) need to be far enough away from the car to stop the signal from alerting the car to the fact that you are trying to gain entry.

Thanks Jim that was the problem,just left the fobs in the faraday bag car locked.Thanks Jim saved me fretting over the weekend.
