Hi All,
My MY2000 XK8 is presently for sale on the site. Today I received and e mail via JEC messaging from an ‘Ary’ asking simply if it was still for sale, no contact number nothing.
Am I missing something regarding the operation of the JEC messaging system , I don’t want to reply in case it’s some new fangled scam but obviously don’t want to ignore a potential buyer.
Opinions would be appreciated.

There is another thread somewhere about dodgy replies to adverts; you can pretty much guarantee that a quick response to an ad is a scammer.
Wait and see if they try again.

Pretty sure it’s a scam, but yes I’ll see if they attempt a contact again. I’ve read the clubs’ scammers article. Had one earlier this week that mentioned ‘the item’ I have for sale.

I can make payment for the Car to your bank account via EU cross-border bank transfer, because it allows same day payment to your account, to send this international transfer, I will need the name of the owner of the account, Account number, IBAN , sort code or BIC Number. And Once you have received my payment, we will discuss with the carrier on the best time to come and receive the Car at your location. He will also come with all necessary identification and documents to complete the unsubscribe of the Car and also with power of attorney.

Absolutely a scam artist - word for word used in many other "attacks". Including the "I am a drilling engineer off Baltic coast" Do NOT engage further, and walk away swiftly.

I've also had an approach this week from 'Ary' ( faan901s@gmail.com ) to the For Sale ad for my XJR. His message simply read 'still for sale?' - which is just lazy! I didn't bother to reply.

I wonder what he actually does for a living?
Apart from annoying other folk of course.

My car is also being advertised, have also had an email from Ary Emanuel. Definitely dodgy, will block him.

I have I believe 2 doggie buyers are there any genuine ones out there?
