Where are the Jaguar Buyers

Hi Folks, I had occasion to participate in the latest Mathewson's auction, Friday Apr.28.23 and Saturday Apr.29.23, as I had a couple of third party cars to go through for folks needing help to dispose of vehicles. There were a total of 20 Jaguar derived cars (some specials) and 3 Daimler cars consigned for the April auction and practically all of the Jaguar / Daimler struggled to make it any where near the reserve, with several (7, which is 30% of the entries) not selling at all due to no interest. Where are all the Jaguar buyers?

Quite shocking to see aged Fords and clapped out Metro's selling for more than some of the more prestige marques that should be in demand.

The Mathewson's team do a decent enough job, but even they can't sell a motor if there are just no buyers online or on the telephones.

It’s coz we’re all skint!! We’re holding on to what we’ve got and not taking chances on possible lemons or expensive rebuilds.
