Hi all
Just purchased a beautiful x358 sovereign diesel
58,000 miles..2009..1 xowner belonging to the
Service manager at jaguar Coventry.. they replaced cambelts for me..car has impeccable Service history and needed for nothing..however I want to replace gbox oil as a precaution.. is this recommend at this mileage.. also does anybody know the size of the rear no. Plate I want the larger one..not standard..
How do I find out the colour off my car as I want to get a touch up stick..thanks

Congrats on the purchase! X350/358s are great cars!

Definitely change the gearbox oil unless you know its been done in last 10k miles. I would definitely change y 60k anyway on these cars and if original it's been in there for 12 years as well. Change now then every 20k woukd be my suggestion. That's what I did on my x350.

Paint code is on the VIN id sticker on the A-pillar (from memory?)

Had an x300..also x308
Then got a bmw550i..awesome machine..but hard ride..sold it after 5 years..then got a 2009 bmw z4 fun car..Still got it..but I missed the refinement and ride of the xj..started looking for a nice low miles x358 with good history..guy salmon in Coventry put this one up for sale..I couldn't resist..I'm in love with it ..for the minute..

What is it you need to send to Jagdroid?

- the whole touchscreen unit
- the single CD unit underneath the screen
- the multi-CD player

Removed centre console..not as difficult as I thought..Removed the CD.. and now sent off to jagdroid..wanting to replace gbox oil..was thinking about surrey jags doing this..read their reviews all good..anybody have any other recommendations for another garage..I live only 30 mins away from surrey jag
