Hello,
My name is Steve. I have recently acquired a 3.5se in Jaguar racing green with dove/sable interior. Sadly the previous owner had passed away, but during his five year ownership he had looked after the car, as had the two previous owners, and there is a full history from new. Despite sitting idle for a few months the car ran beautifully for the 150 mile drive home to Surrey. As always there are a few jobs to do to get her just so. Despite the service history, there’s nothing to suggest a gearbox or diff service in its 122k miles, so that’s definitely top of the list. Luckily I’m five minutes away from a great independent JLR specialist and they have done a great job in helping me keep my P38 4.6 Range Rover chugging away for the last seventeen years and the Jag is having the aforementioned done by them. On a side note, the previous owner’s family were very happy to see the car go to someone who has owned Jags in the past and was keen to lavish the care on the car that he had also shown.
I look forward to getting out and about and attending as many events as possible.

Hello and ccongratulations on acquiring your new(to you)car Steve.
The 3.5 is a fine car.
Sounds like you intend to look after the car so should give you many trouble free miles.
You have done the right thing in getting the gearbox and diff oil changed.
