Hello fellow jag enthusiasts
I've recently bought my first jag, an x350 having known it since day 1 back in 2006. its a v8 sovereign lwb in cherry black with ivory with a complete history and its owner was very dear to me, I bought it mainly because I didn't want to see it traded around as disposal was inevitable.
What a lovely car - I'll use it occasionally for lunch on Sundays or when a few mates and I head to Le Mans which we have planned for ages but never actually made it! I expect hearing The National Anthem every time I open the garage door will grow on me
Drive safe everyone
Greetings
Re: Greetings
Enjoy the car.
Nothing quite like a X350/8. Years ahead of its time when it first appeared. It is still up with the best although the electronics have aged faster than we could have imagined all those years back.
Value for money, the car is one of motoring s best kept secrets. You get a lot of car for the money.

Re: Greetings
Welcome Gannet and continue to enjoy your Jaaag.
Where are you based?
There are lots of informal meetings around the regions, just meet up and kick tyres.

Hi Mike and Steve
Thanks for your responses and Mike you are right so much car for so little but still a few positive surprises - I jumped in and connected my phone immediately - everything is better with bluetooth it seems even back in 2006. You're input to this forum is very impressive and very generous of you, if you don't mind me saying.
I'm in Surrey Steve and the events look like a lot of fun - I'll never be as hard core as some of you guys but I think all men of a certain age do like a nice Jaaaag. I'll sign up for the JEC and perhaps come along if I'm about in the Summer but I work in Madrid these days so tend to miss out on things in London - but I can't deny Spain has its updides
I'll get some pics up when it brightens up a bit
Drive safely

Re: Greetings
I`m in Surrey. Warlingham near Caterham.
I`ve sought the OK from HQ to start a small JEC group locally. Am awaiting a response presently. Assuming we get a green light, that might interest you. News on that in due course.
Thank you for your kind words. All I`ve done is to document repairs done to my own cars over the years. Nothing to it really.....

Re: Greetings
Welcome, Derek.
Once I have the approval to proceed from HQ, then I shall post a new thread about how we may progress.
In the meantime, please feel free to contact me. My details are on the header of the X350 pages in our magazine.
All the best,
Mike

Re: Greetings
Lovely to hear of another car with a bit of a story dear to its owner. I’ve had my similar spec car for about 5 months, I hope you get the same pleasure and smiles per miles from yours.
Here’s my car’s story if you fancy being bored !
